We are very honoured to be represented in the 2011 Applied Arts Design Awards issue for our work on the Animal Wellness Centers branding. We feel fortunate to be included in such great company and thank Applied Arts Magazine and the judges for their recognition.

Julian De Zorzi from our NYC office recently put together a short for The New York Times Style Magazine called Couch Potatoes, a look behind the scenes of Colin Dodgson's Bossy Pants shoot.

Every year The Globe & Mail hosts a Canada-wide advertising competition called Young Lions. Creatives under the age of 28 compete in print, interactive and film categories, and the winners are sent to Cannes to compete internationally.

This year, Visual Inclination directing team Ivan Verlaan and Julian De Zorzi decided to throw their hat in the ring. They were given a brief for the Stephen Lewis Foundation and had 48 hours to create a 30 second spot from scratch.

After an intense two days of writing, casting, shooting and editing, they produced a spot that speaks to the responsibilities left on the shoulders of AIDS orphans.

The jury saw how this would speak to the Stephen Lewis Foundation's audience and awarded the spot with silver.

After spending March designing the identity and roll-out for Pawnathon Canada, the event and shoot were a huge success! We are now buckling down and going full-tilt into post production. It's a real pleasure to work with such a great team on a fun show, and we can't wait for Canada to see the finished episodes!

Meredith Heron Design recently underwent a facelift. Their existing website, one that we had developed years ago entirely in Flash, still suited the talented studio quite well, but the Flash architecture was no longer the best format for presenting their work. The new website no longer relies on Flash for the heavy lifting, and is now fully iPad compatible. To go along with the overhaul, we built Meredith Heron - a prolific personality and popular Twitterer - an engaging and feature-rich blog to share her ideas and visions for interior design.

Our new letterhead has arrived, hot off the press! It involves a very subtle deboss, one that (clearly) pictures can't do justice.

Visual Inclination recently launched an overhauled website for Helios Energy, experts in solar energy developments and fellow Toronto natives. The new website modernizes their visual aesthetic and packs a big technical punch, with a robust back-end for content management and an incredibly useful rooftop evaluation tool that allows propsective clients to guage their specific needs and values.

We hit a lot of milestones in 2010, including reaching one full year at our Queen Street studio and opening another new studio in New York City. We've jet-setted, pounded the pavement, burned the midnight oil, laughed, cried, pondered, learned, lost and gained. And as we enter our twelfth year, it's time to celebrate and look back at twelve reasons that made 2010 such a great year.
